Our Commitment to Academic Standards

Levites Bible College is committed to providing theological education that meets recognized academic and ministry-training standards, both in Nigeria and internationally. Our curriculum — spanning the Certificate in Biblical Studies, Diploma in Theology, and Bachelor of Arts in Theology — has been structured in line with the standards set by the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA), and we are actively pursuing formal ACTEA accreditation as part of our long-term academic development plan. As part of our broader growth strategy, we are also working toward recognition by Nigeria's National Universities Commission (NUC) through affiliation with a recognized university, so that our graduates can look forward to increasingly recognized academic credentials in the years ahead. We believe sound theological training should be both spiritually transformative and academically credible. Every course we teach is built with this standard in mind — even as we work through the formal steps to secure external accreditation.

Bishop Dr Tchek Uchendu

Bishop Dr Tchek Uchendu holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a BA in Theology, an MTh in Theology and Pastoral Studies, a DTh in Theology and Pastoral Studies, and a PhD in Leadership. He is a General Overseer and Rector of a Bible college, and he also teaches at other seminaries while serving on the boards of several churches and Bible colleges. At LBC, he teaches Hermeneutics, Ministry Research Project, Apocalyptic Literature, Leadership, and Pastoral Studies. "Over the years I have watched gifted ministers stumble, not from lack of calling, but from weak interpretation and shaky leadership. This is the work I'm still committed to teaching in Levites bible college."

Pastor Joseph Akinrinola

Pastor Joseph Akinrinola holds a City & Guilds of London qualification in Electrical Installation, a BA in Christian Religious Studies from Ekiti State University, and a Master's in Theology, along with certifications in Apologetics, Trauma Healing and Pastoral Care, and Marriage Counselling. He is a Christian educator and Rector of Levites Bible College, and he sits on the boards of several churches, Bible colleges, and ministers' organisations. He teaches Christian Education, Pastoral Care, Apologetics, and Digital Ministry. "No one should be shut out of solid theological training because of background or finances. That's the conviction this whole college was built on."

Pastor Dr. Gbenga Allen Akinola

Pastor Dr. Gbenga Allen Akinola holds a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations, a Degree in Theology, a Master's in Church Management, a PhD in Christian Education, and a PhD in Theology. He is a church growth consultant and coach, and at LBC he teaches Christian Education, Old and New Testament Theology, and Church Management. "A church can grow in number and still lack the structure to sustain it. I teach here to help ministers build both."

Pastor Luke Oluwole Marcus

Pastor Luke Oluwole Marcus holds a Diploma in Communication Arts from Lagos State University, a BSc in Theology, Guidance and Counselling, and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education, and is a certified Community Policing Officer. He is the Founding Pastor and church planter of his own church, a security consultant, and Rector of his own Bible school. At LBC, he teaches Guidance and Counselling, Missions, and Entrepreneurship. "A minister who can preach but can't counsel, send, or build something practical is only doing half the job. I teach toward the other half."

Apostle Dr Prince Favour Akinyemi

Apostle Dr Prince Favour Akinyemi holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Osun State University and a PhD in Pastoral Studies. He teaches Pastoral Theology and Systematic Theology at Levites Bible College, bringing both academic rigour and pastoral depth to the classroom. "Doctrine without pastoral care leaves ministers only half-equipped. That's the gap I try to close in every class; that is my purpose in LBC."

Pastor Timi Gabriel

Pastor Timi Gabriel holds a National Diploma in Computer Engineering, a Diploma in Security Management and Intelligence, and a BA in Theology. He is the Lead Pastor of his church and works as a security consultant. At LBC, he teaches Digital Ministry and Evangelism. "The church that ignores technology gets left behind. I teach at Levites bible college because I want our students walking out to be able to use every tool available to reach people."
